New publication on reasons for the long decay time of the 7F5 level of Tb3+ in Journal of Luminescence

Among many others, we joined forces with our collaborators from the groups of Prof. Dr. Luís Carlos (Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal) and Prof. Dr. Oscar Malta (University of Pernambuco, Brazil), we have investigated potential reasons for the unusually long decay time of the 7F5 level of Tb3+ in inorganic host compounds. This plays a critical role for energy transfer processes involving this lanthanoid ion. Check out the publication out now in the Journal of Luminescence:
